Last January, we had the amazing opportunity to attend the Sundance Film Festival in Park City with our favorite Stella Artois. It was our first time in Utah and it did not disappoint! Here are our recommendations that should make your must-do list when you find yourself at the Sundance Film Festival.
What To Do at Sundance
- Main Street - This small street is where most of the main activities are. Make sure to take a stroll up and down the area to discover cool lounges and different activities open to the public. This is also where you can possibly find cast parties and musical performances. We personally spent most of our time at Cafe Artois where we could relax and unwind with plenty of Stella Artois drinks.
- Panels - If you're able to it's an amazing opportunity to sit in on various panels. We had a fantastic experience at Café Artois where we saw panels such as An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn, Women in Film, The Road to 50/50/ with Women in Film.
- Watch Films - An obvious must do while at Sundance!
Where To Stay
For our Sundance experience, we stayed at the Newpark Resort and Hotel. It's about 40 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes to Main Street (without traffic.) It was a very cozy hotel and our room had an indoor fireplace and an outdoor hot tub! There are cafes and restaurants conveniently located next to the hotel.
How To Get Around
Renting a car may sound enticing, but we highly recommend Uber/Lyft as the way to go. From our experience with traffic, it seemed as if parking would be both wildly expensive and near impossible.Where to Eat
Non-Sundance Activities To Do
- Snowmobiling - Other than catching panels and movies, Salt Lake City has a lot to offer. One of our favorite activities we did was snowmobiling! We did Summit Meadows Adventures Snowmobiling Tour
- Catch a Basketball Game - If you know me, you know I love basketball and have an NBA arena bucket list. I couldn't pass up the chance to catch a Utah Jazz game.
