Essential Fall Casual Layering

Fall has finally arrived here in NYC! I’m sure I’m speaking for everyone when I say we have all been waiting for this Fall weather to come. Those perfect temperature days to enjoy with the best layering styles. At the top of my Fall “To Do” list was visiting The MET Cloisters so we picked a great day to visit this museum in upper Manhattan.
For this essential Fall Layering style, I start off with the Express Shawl Cardigan as my main layer for the top. The shawl cardigan is a must-have every Fall season and I love this season ready color in Burgundy. To layer underneath the cardigan, I went with a classic soft oxford shirt in grey and henley shirt in white. Clean and stylish layers well put together and paired off the outfit with dark denim and suede chelsea boots.
The MET Cloisters is such a hidden gem in NYC! Maybe the journey scares people from heading north from the main parts of the city but it was quite fast to get there (about 30 minutes from Midtown by train). European medieval architecture just goes with the whole Fall vibes. I felt like I was instantly traveled from NYC to Europe.
