I recently came across this video by Complex and JCPenney Michael Strahan. I like how they are inspiring guys to dress better no matter what the budget is. I checked out the collection myself at the JCP store in Manhattan Mall. The Collection by Michael Strahan Sportcoat caught my attention right away since I am a big fan of patterns. I really liked the offering: BLUE CHECK, BLACK CHECK, and WINE Windowpane. As much as I liked the blue check, I have too much blue in my wardrobe and wanted to go with something different and more festive in the Wine Windowpane. Since the sport coat is the statement piece, I kept the rest of the outfit neutral to complement each other. I matched the grey lines on the windowpane pattern with my grey topcoat and a grey tie. Added the navy dress pants and bourbon brown loafers to finish off the look.
