Shanghai Style – Barbour International

I’ve always been a fan of the Barbour International jacket and I’m really glad I picked one up this season. I love the moto style of the jacket and function with all the pockets. The jacket just screams “bad to the bone” to me. It can easily be dressed up or down and it’ll look as dapper with a suit as stylish in shirt and jeans. I’ve gotten a great deal of use out of it already from all the traveling recently. The international jacket has quickly become one of my staples for layering. It’s an awesome jacket to have for its style and function, also a nice alternative to the classic trench coat. I decided to take the Barbour International, true to its name, internationally from NYC to Shanghai. The wax cotton texture and attention to details all over the jacket make it stand out from the rest. On a gloomy cloudy day in Shanghai, I like to dress for the weather. Going for a sharp monochromatic muted look in black, white and grey. I paired the black wax jacket with grey trouser pants and leather sneakers. The whole outfit just goes so well with the mysterious backdrop of the Shanghai skyline in the clouds. The look works well with the historic buildings on the Bund to the well-respected Buddhist temples.
