Port Elizabeth Travel Guide + Photo Diary
“The road is there, it will always be there. You just have to decide when to take it.”
STYLE
T-Shirt – H&M | Khakis – GAP x GQ | Shoes – Nike Killshot at J.Crew | Watch – Daniel Wellington | Sunglasses – RayBan
Safari style for the famous Addo Elephant Park – pair of Khakis and a nice textured T-shirt. The temperature was in the 80s so I rolled up my pants for some breeze and threw on a pair of sharp white Nikes. For a simple casual and comfortable outfit, I go to accessories for effortless style points with my Daniel Wellington stripe band watch and classic aviator sunglasses.
TRAVEL
Addo Elephant Park – This is a MUST in Port Elizabeth! What an amazing time seeing hundreds of Elephants just hanging out in their own natural habitat. Seeing them in parades, running around, and playing in the mud up close was such an incredible experience.
Schoenmakerskop – Our new friend Dean Cothill took us on a scenic drive out of Port Elizabeth to this nearby nature spot. I can see where the nickname “Rock Beach” came from – just a natural wonder of rock formations all over these beaches. Definitely a nice scenic walk after a good lunch in the afternoon.
Also Go See:
Old Port Elizabeth, The Donkin Reserve, Horse Memorial, St George’s Park, Settlers’ Park, Fort Frederick, City Hall, Campanile, No 7 Castle Hill Museum
Eating Out:
Ostrich meat, Bobotie (curry with stewed fruits and chutney), Bredie (meat and vegetable stew), Snoek (South African mackerel), Biltong (wind-dried meats), South African wines
