In collaboration with Uniqlo, I took some of my favorite pieces from the summer collection with me on my weekend getaway trip. Last week I visited Washington, DC to see my friend, check out the sights, and enjoy some good eats. Since we are right in the middle of summer (woah August already!), the whole weekend was 90s temp. I love Uniqlo's summer pieces because it's stylish, affordable, and keeps me cool in the strong heat.
Day 1 - I went with a seersucker short sleeve shirt that keeps me cool even with all the walking around the city. Seersucker has a really nice subtle texture and it keeps the airflow going to help you cool down. The red checker pattern went well with the camo on the Michael Bastian shorts. I also went sockless with boat shoes to walk around for the day.
Day 2 - Sun's out...Gun's out! For the past few summers, I look forward to the Michael Bastian collaboration with Uniqlo because I really like the designs and fit. On this day I am rocking both MB pieces - the tank top and shorts. It's a great modern and stylish take on a "lazy" summer outfit. The bold stripes is one of my fav because it fits with my athletic personality. I honestly have every color of this tank top haha. The shorts are really cool design with side cargo pockets on the front. I paired the look with a matching denim boat shoes by Timberland and nato strap watch.
