PROJECT NY Recap Part I - It's a great honor to be part of the #BloggerProject curated by Marcus Troy as a featured editor of the tradeshow. Project features many top brands showcasing its future FW15 and SS16 collection to press and potential buyers. So think of this post as a big sneak peek to what menswear will bring in the upcoming year! It was a tremendous opportunity to meet the people behind the brands, build new relationships, check out the new collections, and create original digital content all in one spot.
Day 1 Project Look - Being in NYC, I wanted to bring that sharp tailored menswear look to the table. I went with a pattern mixing three-piece look that featured plaid, checkers, and pinstripes. The colors purple and navy blue play well together and blend the patterns in a subtle yet bold way. This is a great look with or without the jacket. Also the event was held in July with the summer heat so to make the look summer ready, the tie and pinstripe vest & pants are all cotton. Finish it off with these beautiful Italian single monk straps from Johnston & Murphy.
